A cozy beach that makes tourists feel at home!
Lhok Mee Beach, a beautiful beach with a stretch of green mangrove trees and crystal clear water, must be one of the tourist spots in the Aceh Besar, Aceh Province, Indonesia area which was initially unpopular because not many people had visited the area. Then over time, Lhok Mee beach began to be visited by many.
Besides being close to other tourist locations such as the fort area and the beach, this place has a unique spot, namely the Geurumbang tree. This tree is in the middle of the sea and has a unique shape.
If we look at the history of this beach, it turns out that Lhok Mee Beach is part of the legacy of the Lamuri kingdom in Aceh. This is because Lhok Mee beach is located in the Lamreh hill area, which is the gate of the Lamuri kingdom.
The Lamuri Kingdom is believed to be the oldest kingdom in Aceh which is thought to have existed before the 13th century. Besides Lhok Mee, there are several other tourist sites that are also in the Lamreh area which was once part of the Lamuri kingdom.
Interesting things that can be found here are when the sea water is receding. This beach offer treats a variety of marine life that can be seen directly by the eye without the need to snorkel. This is because the marine life is located around the beach so that it can be accessed by visitors. Visitors can see a number of marine life such as fish, sea urchins, corals, crabs, and other biotas. Because the water on the Lhok Mee beach is clear, the marine life can be seen clearly, when the seawater recedes, these trees are fun to be a fishing spot for those who like the world of fishing. The sensation of fishing on the Geurumbang tree is exciting because fishing activities are directly above the water surface.
